A KRSU student confessed her love for the Chinese language
World Languages student Vanessa Brester gave an interview to «Make Friends Like Good Neighbors» the newspaper «Silk Road».
Answering questions from a journalist, she spoke about the reasons that prompted her to enter the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University and choose for herself specialty «Translation and translation studies» (specialization «Linguistic support of interstate relations») with the Chinese language. Vanessa noted: «I won’t lie, the language is not easy, but I’m very interested, I like it. Sometimes you put aside notes in your hearts, and then reach for them again. In my first year, I was generally ready to break down and run away. But the teachers, the favorable situation at the university and future prospects stopped me, and I did not regret it at all. On the contrary, I think with horror, and if I didn’t stay. I remember how much joy I felt from the first phrase spoken in Chinese!».
Learning Chinese allowed the KRSU student to come into contact with Chinese culture. Vanessa believes that the more people know about each other, the more trust and respect there will be between them, so in the future she plans to study China and its history in more depth.
