KRSU students and residents won the VI Pediatric Games
On April 13, the VI International Games of Pediatricians took place in the conference hall of KSMA within the framework of the International Scientific Forum «Science Days of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after. AND. Akhunbaev», dedicated to the memory and achievements of the great scientists of Kyrgyzstan in the field of medicine.
These games are the most unique and large-scale student Olympiad in Kyrgyzstan. This time the competition took place between the best teams in the country in three languages (Kyrgyz, English and Russian). Its participants were students and residents of the National Center for Medical Sciences and Medical Sciences, KSMA named after. AND. Akhunbaeva and KRSU named after. B. Yeltsin.
The first task was to solve situational problems – in the form of scientific battles (NB). In turn, the NB consisted of 4 actions. During one action, each team performed in one of 3 roles: Speaker, Opponent, Reviewer.
The scientific battle included:
• Report.
• Opposing.
• Review.
• Controversy «Speaker-Opponent-Reviewer».
• Questions from the jury.
• Grades.
The second task was to write a general and biochemical blood test at speed. It was attended by 5 people from each team. Each participant was given 20 seconds.
The third task was called «4 pictures – 1 diagnosis». Participants had to turn on the logic and, having seen the 4 pictures presented on the screen, establish a connection between them and, within the allotted 45 seconds, guess what childhood disease they were talking about. A total of 10 pictures were offered.
In addition, each team produced a practical skills video on the topic: KRSU – «Anaphylactic reaction», KSMA – «Convulsions», NCOMID – «Foreign body».
The teams' performances were evaluated by a high jury chaired by Professor I. Yuldasheva.
According to the results of the Olympiad (for the first time in the last 4 years), Fortune turned out to be the most favorable to the team of the KRSU medical faculty. She became the winner VI Games of pediatricians, taking 1st place and earning a commemorative cup and a cash prize of 10,000 soms.
Representatives of the NCOMID took second place. The nice team of KSMA closed the top three winners. It’s nice that they were also not left without diplomas, memorable gifts and cash bonuses!
