Students and teachers of KRSU attended a lecture on the EAEU

On March 18, an open guest lecture by the Special Representative of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic for Affairs in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Almaz Sazbakov was held for students and teachers of the Department of World Economy KRSU.

A. Sazbakov spoke about the goals, structure, bodies of the EAEU, problems existing between members of the union and mechanisms for resolving conflict situations using specific examples. The lecturer touched on issues relating to the prospects for the development of the Union, further levels of integration, the creation of a single electricity market, and finance.

The lecture aroused great interest among students and teachers of the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of International Relations.

The final part of the speech was held in the question – answer format. Students were interested in a variety of issues: from getting a job in an organization to the activities of the EAEU in a pandemic.

For reference: Almaz Sazbakov has extensive experience in the public administration system. Before working in the EAEU, he worked in the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic (2006-2008), the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic (2011), held senior positions in the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic (2008-2011), and headed the Investment Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic (2014-2016).
