Students from KRSU and Russian universities went on a mountain hike along the Terskey Ala-Too ridge
Students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin together with participants from Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin and Ryazan State University named after S.A. Yesenin went on a mountain hike of the first category of difficulty, laid along the picturesque routes of the Issyk-Kul region.
The route program covers one of the most picturesque study programs of the Central Tien Shan — Terskey Ala-Too ridge. The hike participants started from Bishkek, passed through Karakol and the village of Ak-Suu, covered the route through the Altyn-Arashan gorge, the Kokjar River, the pass «Alakol Northern» at an altitude of 3884 m, Lake Ala-Kol, the Teleti pass (3759 m), the Kurgak gorges -Tor, Karakol and Jety-Oguz, completing the hike at the educational and health complex «Zhashtyk».
Such trips, uniting students from different regions and countries, become not only a physical and sports test, but also an important element of youth diplomacy, forming a spirit of mutual assistance, tolerance and mutual respect.
The project is being implemented with the support of educational departments, sports clubs and youth initiatives of universities and continues the good tradition of integration programs within the framework of humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
