KRSU students began their studies at St. Petersburg Polytechnic University
The internship of the second group of students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University has started at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU). 50 people were enrolled in training in network educational programs — the largest group of bachelors and master's students from Bishkek.
The exchange program, implemented within the framework of a state assignment, received such large-scale development for the first time this year. If previously only undergraduate students of KRSU studied at the Polytechnic, now master’s students have joined them.
Future specialists will study a number of engineering and technical study programs, including:
electrical power and electrical engineering,
software engineering,
applied mechanics,
infocommunication technologies and communication systems,
electronics and nanoelectronics,
architectural environment design,
industrial and civil engineering,
energy-efficient heat and gas supply and ventilation systems,
technosphere safety.
The organizational meeting was opened by the head of the project office «Slavic Universities», deputy head of the Department of International Cooperation of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Nikita Golovin. He greeted the students and emphasized the significance of their visit:
«We are honored to host the largest group of students from our partner university KRSU. When choosing Polytechnic, you choose a higher quality education and immersion in the rich scientific and cultural environment of one of the leading technical universities in Russia. I am sure that this semester will be productive and eventful for you», — noted Nikita Golovin.
Students were told about the key organizational issues of staying in Russia — migration registration, health insurance, obtaining student cards and access to university resources. Curators from international services were appointed to accompany the group.
After the official part, representatives of the institutes introduced the students to the curricula and gave a tour of the campus.
The exchange program between KRSU and SPbPU became an important part of the international activities of the Polytechnic and a striking example of the implementation of state policy in the field of education and strengthening ties with the CIS countries.
