KRSU students will undergo training at the SFU International Summer Mining and Geological School

8 july 2024

Students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) will take part in the international summer mining and geological school. This event takes place as part of the «Summer University–2024» project.

Students will attend lectures by leading specialists from the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals of Siberian Federal University and the Ministry of Ecology and Rational Environmental Management of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and will take part in trainings and excursions around Krasnoyarsk. The main element of the program will be an eight-day trip to the training practice base «Comet» in Khakassia, where participants will be able to get acquainted with the practical side of geology and see the work of SFU students in the field.

«The Summer School program is rich and interesting. Its main difference is that foreign students will get acquainted not only with Krasnoyarsk, but also with Khakassia. We are confident that they will spend their time usefully», — noted Vladimir Baranov, director of the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals of Siberian Federal University.

In addition to training events, cultural excursions and visits to local attractions are planned for KRSU students, including a local history museum in the village of Shira, a museum-reserve «Chests», Lake Belyo and others.
