KRSU students have been trained in international humanitarian law

Team of the Faculty of Law KRSU consisting of students M. Muratova, M. Maksatova and N. Bekkulova represented Kyrgyzstan at the 24th Competition named after. F. Martens on international humanitarian law, which passed with 9 by 12 October.

Ours she accompanied the students deputy Dean for Science, Faculty of Law, Associate Professor of the Department of International and Constitutional Law N. Tursunbaeva.

This year at the competition named after. F. Martens was attended by teams from the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and various regions of the Russian Federation.

The competition is an event during which students receive training in the field of IHL, and the methodology is based on role-playing games. The purpose of the training is achieved by having the participants make decisions in the various situations of fictional armed conflict in which they find themselves. It should be noted that the jury takes many different factors into account when determining the best teams – knowledge of international humanitarian law, ability to apply his in practice, the command’s reasoning.

The team from the KRSU Law Faculty gained invaluable experience in participating in the competition and thanks the ICRC Mission in Kyrgyzstan for its support and assistance in implementation tripand.
