KRSU students spoke at the Russian Academy of Sciences about the feat of Kyrgyzstan in the Battle of Stalingrad
The Commission of the Russian Academy of Sciences for the study of the scientific heritage of Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences N. Moiseev prepared the 2nd volume of the collection «The Second World War and modern trends in distorting its results and the post-war world order». The publication includes reports and materials of the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Russia in the 21st Century: The Great Patriotic War and Historical Memory. The Battle of Stalingrad and its strategic importance for the outcome of World War II», held on 14 - 15 December 2022.
The purpose of the conference was a scientific discussion of the arguments put forward by Western scientific schools and politicians, anti-scientific statements of the history of the Battle of Stalingrad, belittling the role of the victory of the USSR in it as a turning point in the Second World War. During the plenary and sectional sessions, current historiographical problems were discussed, scientific and practical recommendations were developed for further scientific research and their use in the historical education of youth on a number of the most important study programs.
The section «Kirghiz SSR in the Battle of Stalingrad 1942-1943», organized by the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, was attended by scientists and students of Bishkek universities. KRSU was represented by students of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations of the Faculty of Humanities: Elizaveta Katunina, Maria Semyonova, Zhanara Kaparbekova. Their performances «The Battle of Stalingrad: a feat that Kyrgyzstan should be proud of» and «The Battle of Stalingrad: What modern youth know about the great battle» became part of the new scientific collection of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
