KRSU students defended projects on digital humanities at Siberian Federal University

From October 13 to 19, the Siberian Federal University (SFU) hosted the School of Digital Humanities for students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU). Nine study programs «Translation and Translation Studies», «Linguistics» and «Philosophy» students came to Krasnoyarsk, and six people connected online. Among the participants were Ainazik Zamirbekova, Asel Asanova and Bekzhan Zhumabekov.

The school, organized with the support of the Computer Graphics Laboratory and the SFU DH LAB, under the leadership of Sofia Samoilova, was aimed at developing digital skills. During the week, students studied project management, marketing, digital design and working with big data. The training included both lectures and practical classes, some of which were held in a game format.

The result was the creation of two social projects: «Second Chance», dedicated to the reuse of things, and «The older generation creates», aimed at supporting older people. Both projects were presented as fairs, and students managed to show their skills in teamwork, creative solutions and digital design. The projects were highly appreciated by experts.
