KRSU law students visited the Ministry of Justice in honor of International Anti-Corruption Day

First-year students of the Faculty of Law of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University took part in an event dedicated to the International Anti-Corruption Day. The students' visit to the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic was organized by the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Faculty of Law KRSU.

Azimzhanova Gulnara, Commissioner for Corruption Prevention, made a report on the activities of the Ministry of Justice in the field of reducing corruption risks and introducing digitalization of public services. She spoke in detail about the measures and initiatives taken to increase the transparency and efficiency of government agencies.

International Anti-Corruption Day has been celebrated annually on December 9 since 2004. It was established by the UN General Assembly (resolution № A/RES/58/4 of 21 November 2003) and coincides with the date of the opening for signature of the UN Convention against Corruption in Merida, Mexico. Kyrgyzstan ratified the Convention in 2005 (Law of the Kyrgyz Republic of August 6, 2005 № 128).
