The acting rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, Sergei Volkov, gave an interview to the leading Russian news agency TASS, in which he spoke about plans for the development of the university.

In an interview, Volkov noted that KRSU plans to build a new campus with a technology park, a clinic, dormitories and a sports complex. He also announced the university's intention to almost double the number of students — from 8.5 to 15 thousand people by 2040.

The head of the university emphasized the need to update educational programs, attract young specialists to the teaching staff and develop social infrastructure. Among the priorities are — the creation of a migration center, a kindergarten and an institute of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The interview also touched upon the strategic objectives of the university, which are aimed at strengthening its status as one of the leading educational centers in the region.
