Training session in practice format: KRSU students visited the Geological Museum

Second-year students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University visited the Geological Museum of the Kyrgyz-Mining and Metallurgical Institute named after U.A. Asanalieva. The training session was organized by Ermek Sharsheev, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Protection in Emergency Situations, within the framework of the discipline «Geology and Hydrogeology».The format of the on-site lesson made it possible to combine theoretical training with practical study of geological materials and natural processes. During the excursion, students got acquainted with collections of minerals, rocks and minerals, as well as with a paleontological exhibition reflecting the stages of geological development of the territory of Kyrgyzstan and adjacent regions.Particular attention was paid to the issues of the origin of mineral resources, their classification and application for assessing natural risks, rational use of subsoil and ensuring environmental safety.Study visits to specialized scientific and educational sites are part of the university’s systematic work to develop practice-oriented education and are aimed at improving the quality of professional training for students.
