Scientists KRSU in the scientific collection of the Russian Academy of Sciences
The Russian Academy of Sciences has published a collection of reports and materials «Russia in the 21st century: the Great Patriotic War and historical memory. XXIX Moses Readings –international scientific and practical conference».
The new publication includes reports by scientists – historians of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University L. Sumarokov, G. Danilchenko, P. Dyatlenko, N. Eshimbekova, which were presented during the XXIX Moiseev Readings at a session dedicated to little-known pages of the participation of the Kyrgyz SSR in the Great Patriotic War. The book also notes the victory of a student of the Faculty of Humanities KRSU V. Kutseva in a photo competition «The Great Patriotic War in the fate of my country and my generation».
The collection begins with a greeting to the participants of the readings, heard from the mouth of the rector of KRSU V. Nifadiev, who noted: «In the year of the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the problem of returning the names of unknown heroes from oblivion should be placed among the priority and especially important state tasks. It is determined by the need to preserve the historical memory of the generation of winners, strengthen the spiritual and moral unity of society, radically improve the civic and patriotic education of youth and youth, and recreate past friendly ties between the peoples of the former Soviet republics. Restoring the names of the soldiers who defended the Fatherland from the brown plague of fascism, describing episodes of their military deeds require an idea of justice, the need to remind the memory space with new evidence of the feat of the people».
The forum, held on June 21-23, 2021, reviewed important events of the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War, most susceptible to criticism and falsification by Western scientific schools and politicians, and also formulated scientifically based arguments in the interests of strengthening historical memory, countering attempts to rewrite history and the results of the battle with fascism. With the participation of KRSU scientists, scientific and practical recommendations were developed for further scientific research and their use in the historical education of youth.
Scientists, teachers, students, schoolchildren from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Serbia, Germany, and Italy took part in the readings.
The editorial board of the publication, which included RAS academician M. Zalikhanov, MNEPU professor S. Stepanov, G. Isakova, believe that the collection will be useful to teachers, graduate students, students and researchers dealing with methodological problems of modern history.
