Successes at the International Competition in Nepal

Students of the Faculty of Law Gulayim Bolotbekova, Tamerlan Shakirov and Bael Syrtbaev, under the guidance of Deputy Dean for Science N.S. Tursunbayeva made her debut at the Jean Pictet International Competition for International Humanitarian Law. This competition has been held since 1989 and is one of the most prestigious for law students specializing in international humanitarian law and human rights.

The KRSU team took part in the in-person stage of the competition in Pokhara, Nepal. During the week, they, together with representatives of other leading universities in the world, immersed themselves in a variety of formats, trainings and lectures.

As part of the competition, the team not only analyzed the scenarios provided, but also proposed professionally based solutions to various legal problems. This required complete immersion in every situation and professionalism in decision-making.

Participation in such a prestigious competition not only improves the rating of the Faculty of Law, but also helps strengthen the country’s image in the global educational environment.
