Leading scientists will come to Bishkek: the townspeople will be told about the evolution of humanity
The High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and the BASE³ Labs initiative, will hold a large-scale popular science forum in Bishkek «Start tracks».
The event will take place on November 1, 2025 in the Great Assembly Hall of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (Chui ave., 265a) and will last from 11:00 to 19:00. The forum will be a series of open lectures on the origin and development of humanity, its cultural practices and evolution — from ancient ancestors to modern people.
The organizers emphasize that the purpose of the forum is — to make science accessible and exciting to a wide audience, to establish a dialogue between scientists and industry and society, to introduce listeners to the latest discoveries in anthropology, paleontology and archeology.
Forum lecturers
• Alexander Markov — Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor at Moscow State University, author of popular books about human evolution and intelligence. He will talk about the key stages of anthropogenesis and the formation of the social organization Homo sapiens.
• Jan Rybak — anthropologist, science journalist and science popularizer. His lecture will focus on new data on Neanderthals, Denisovans and other species of the genus Homo, as well as their interactions with modern humans.
• Maria Mednikova — Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, specialist in bioarchaeology. She will present how archaeological finds help reconstruct the lifestyles, health and cultural practices of ancient communities.
The organizers invite everyone interested in science and human history, emphasizing that participation is free and aimed at the widest audience — from schoolchildren and students to professionals in related fields.
