In IRYA KRSU the results of the Russian language Olympiad among schoolchildren of Kyrgyzstan were summed up
As part of the Year of the Russian Language on October 3, the Institute of Russian Language named after. A. Orusbaev of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University held an annual distance Olympiad in the Russian language. Students of 10th grades of secondary schools with Russian, Kyrgyz and Uzbek languages of instruction from the regions of Kyrgyzstan were invited to participate in the event.
The purpose of the Olympiad was to develop schoolchildren's interest in learning the Russian language, expand their general erudition, and also consolidate knowledge in the subject «Russian language».
Mostly the tasks of the Olympiad were compiled on the basis of works of Russian classics – L.N. Tolstoy, I.S. Turgeneva, F.I. Tyutcheva, V.A. Zhukovsky, M.M. Prishvin, i.e. with the involvement of highly artistic works in the literary Russian language.
When drawing up the questions, attention was paid to the work of Ch.T. Aitmatov, since this great writer was fluent in the Russian literary language.
The total number of participants was 108 people – these are schoolchildren from Batken, Issyk-Kul, Chui, Osh and Naryn regions.
The students reflected in their works the preparation in the subject that corresponds to the school curriculum.
The submitted works were assessed according to several criteria – knowledge of language theory and the ability to apply the rules in practice, as well as – the ability to express one’s thoughts in writing. Attention was paid to originality and imaginative thinking.
In general, the Olympiad gave students the opportunity not only to reveal their creative potential, but also to think about the importance of studying the history and culture of the country, and also emphasized the importance of the Russian language and literature in our lives.
