Guest lectures by RSUH professor G. Kreidlin began at KRSU
On September 4, the opening of a series of lectures by Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Russian State University for the Humanities, member of the Moscow Linguistic Society, vice-chairman of the scientific committee of the International Sign Society, member of the International Association of Slavistic Cognitivists and the Russian Semiotic Society Grigory Kreidlin took place at the Kyryz-Russian Slavic University.
The opening of the event took place in online and offline formats. Students were offered a series of lectures on the topic «Semiotics and its main sections. Nonverbal semiotics».
The lecture took place in an interactive format. Various questions were asked, since the scientist’s report aroused everyone’s interest. Representatives of KRSU – professors Mamed Tagaev and Milana Lazaridi, associate professor Almira Gatina, as well as teachers of Russian language and literature from different regions of the republic, specialists from the Institute of Russian Language KRSU, student journalists of our university discussed current issues of semiotics and talked about what role gestures play in the modern world.
Note that Professor G. Kreidlin – longtime friend of KRSU: participant in international scientific conferences devoted to the problems of the Russian language; his articles were published in previous years and continue to be published in a scientific, practical and information and analytical journal «Russian word in Kyrgyzstan», included in the collection of materials of the scientific and practical conference «Russian language in the bilingual space of Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia: experience, search for a solution».
The series of lectures will last until September 7. Among the topics: «Kinesics as the science of gestures, gestural processes and gestural systems. Modern kinesics and linguistics» (September 5), «Paralinguistics as the science of sound codes of communication (at the present stage of development) (September 6), «Semiotic conceptualization of the body and its parts. Applied aspects of nonverbal semiotics and cognitive linguistics» (September 7).
