KRSU discussed the international agenda in the format of a project game
Today, the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University hosted a scientific project game «Strategic Partnership between Russia and Kyrgyzstan: global, regional and bilateral dimensions», organized by MGIMO.
The site brought together about a hundred students interested in international relations and diplomacy. Participants worked with practical cases, discussed the current international agenda and tried themselves in project activities.
Opening the event, Rector of KRSU Sergei Volkov noted that the university is consistently developing partnerships with leading universities in Russia.
<TAG1> We don't compete, we are partners. Such interaction gives students additional opportunities, including for continuing their studies and professional growth», he emphasized.
Of particular interest to the participants was the speech of the Minister-Counselor of the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan Ekaterina Chistova, who shared her personal experience in diplomacy.
<TAG1> Diplomacy is a multifaceted activity. This includes politics, economics, and humanitarian cooperation. But the main thing is to work to achieve a balance of interests and maintain peace», she noted.
According to her, the most important quality of a diplomat is not only professionalism, but also personal involvement.
<TAG1> A diplomat must be a patriot of his country. Without this, it is impossible to effectively represent her interests», Chistova emphasized.
She also drew the students' attention to the peculiarities of the profession.
<TAG1>You never know exactly which country you will be working in tomorrow. These are constant travel, new conditions, the need to adapt. But this is what makes the profession lively and interesting», she said.
Answering questions from participants, the diplomat added:
<TAG1>A diplomat is a person who strives to do everything possible, and sometimes impossible, to maintain dialogue and prevent conflicts«.
At the event, the rector of KRSU and the representative of the diplomatic corps Ekaterina Chistova were awarded MGIMO certificates of honor.
The project game has become another platform for the development of humanitarian cooperation and the involvement of the youth of Kyrgyzstan and Russia in the joint educational and expert agenda.
