KRSU discussed the prospects for the development of the university within the framework of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation
At the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin held a meeting at which strategic directions for the development of the university and strengthening bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia were discussed.
Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Evgeny Shekunov received a delegation consisting of Senator of the Russian Federation Olga Shchetinina, Deputy Chief of Staff of Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Irina Surkova, Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Guli Kozhokulova and representative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia at the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan Robert Fedorov.
One of the key issues of discussion was the construction of a new campus, KRSU, which will open up additional opportunities for students and teachers. The development of the university's infrastructure, along with strengthening the training of Russian language teachers, as well as expanding cooperation with student construction teams, will be an important step towards improving the quality of education and promoting the socio-economic development of the region.
Senator Olga Shchetinina noted that education — is the basis for the prosperity of a nation: «Education — is the key to our future. Russia and Kyrgyzstan have a common history, and active interaction with young people will be the key to common success».
The meeting participants focused on the importance of strengthening bilateral ties in the field of science and education. Intentions were expressed to develop and implement joint projects aimed at further developing KRSU as the leading educational center in the region. The guests emphasized that this will not only contribute to the growth of academic potential, but also create new opportunities for students and teachers, forming the basis for the prosperity of both countries.
