KRSU discussed the development of educational programs, the digital environment and preparations for the new academic year

The next dean's meeting was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University under the leadership of Rector Sergei Volkov. Vice-rectors, deans of faculties, heads of departments and structural divisions of the university took part in the work.One of the key topics was the results of institutional accreditation and further work to improve the internal quality system of education. The rector noted that an external expert view made it possible to identify areas that require additional attention: updating educational programs, strengthening quality control mechanisms, introducing the results of scientific research into the educational process, as well as developing horizontal communication between departments.«An educational program is not a formal document. This is the basis on which we build the educational process. We must clearly understand what a student, teacher and employer need today», — emphasized Sergei Volkov.Issues of digitalization of the university were also discussed. The rector announced the creation of a department for the development of digital infrastructure and noted that the digital transformation of KRSU should cover not only technical equipment, but also internal management processes, analytics, corporate services and educational resources.Special attention was paid to preparations for the admissions campaign. The work of the multifunctional center, which will be involved in accompanying applicants, preparing documents and advising applicants, was discussed. Issues of readiness of faculties to accept applicants and informing schoolchildren and parents were also considered.The meeting touched upon the development of sports infrastructure and student sports. The university is forming a department of physical culture, sports and tourism, which will coordinate the work of sports sections, student teams, public events and promising tourism projects.In addition, the rector spoke about the continuation of renovation work in educational buildings, updating the classroom, sports grounds and surrounding areas. The heads of units have been instructed to carry out an inventory of premises, write-off of obsolete equipment and preparation of buildings for the new academic year.Issues discussed also included preparation for graduation events, the development of the KRSU Alumni Association, the organization of active summer schools on the basis of the UOC «Zhashtyk», work with partners, academic mobility of students and advanced training of teachers.As a result of the meeting, structural units were given instructions to update local regulations, prepare educational programs, develop digital services, organize an admissions campaign and prepare the university for the new academic year.
