KRSU discussed new generation textbooks on the Russian language for schools with the Kyrgyz language of instruction

On March 29, the Russian Language Institute of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B. Yeltsin, together with the publishing house «Arkus», held an online seminar «Russian language textbooks for schools with the Kyrgyz language of instruction: history, linguistic and methodological foundations, practice and results of their application», in which the authors of new generation textbooks on the Russian language Natalya Zadorozhnaya and Gulfira Tairova took part.

V. Lelevkin, Vice-Rector for Science at KRSU, who opened the event, noted the importance of this format of meetings for the benefit of the younger generation, and the director of the Russian Language Institute, Professor M. Tagaev, addressing the participants with a welcoming speech, recalled that textbooks on the Russian language today are the basis for its study in the regions, and proper work with them will contribute to the successful acquisition of the necessary language base for further education of students.

During the online seminar, the authors of the textbooks told the students, who were more than 400 Russian teachers of secondary schools from all regions of Kyrgyzstan: Uzgen, Alabukinsky, At-Bashinsky, Kochkor districts, the cities of Jalal-Abad, Osh, Naryn, Karakol, etc., – about the features of new textbooks and the principles of working with them. At the end of the presentation, teachers were able to ask authors and publishers questions that interested them and shared their recommendations.

The Russian Language Institute expresses gratitude to the authors of new generation Russian language textbooks for schools with the Kyrgyz language of instruction and the management of the publishing house «Arkus» for their invaluable contribution to this event and hopes for further cooperation.

Director of the information and methodological center of the publishing house «Arkus» E. Terentyev also expressed his desire and readiness to cooperate on all issues related to the popularization and promotion of new generation textbooks.

In the near future, electronic certificates of participation in the seminar will be sent to all students.
