KRSU discussed the influence of youth subcultures and virtual destructiveness on the crime situation in Kyrgyzstan

A round table was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University on the topic "Youth informal subcultures and types of virtual destructiveness: the criminological situation in Kyrgyzstan.". The event brought together experts, teachers and students interested in studying the impact of various youth movements and online communities on public safety.

Rector of KRSU Denis Fomin-Nilov addressed the participants and noted that the problem of youth subcultures and their destructive manifestations remains one of the most pressing today. According to him, various youth communities have always existed, and methods of combating them were previously quite obvious. However, in the era of the digital revolution and widespread availability of the Internet, new approaches and regulatory rules are required.

"Today's youth shape their ideals and attitudes through multiple sources, including online platforms, that can foster both development and disruptive behavior. Therefore, it is important to develop comprehensive measures that will minimize the negative impact of the virtual environment and help young people find positive ways of self-expression," the rector emphasized.

During the round table, participants discussed existing risks and the impact of virtual communities on the formation of the crime situation in the country, and also developed recommendations for increasing digital literacy and strengthening interdepartmental cooperation in the fight against negative manifestations among young people.
