KRSU discussed the functioning of the Russian language in the bilingual space of Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia
May 16 in the main building of KRSU as part of the Year of the Russian Language 2023, an International Scientific and Practical Conference was held «Russian language in the bilingual space of Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia: experience, searches, solutions».
The event was organized by the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (Bishkek), the State Institute of Russian Language named after. A. Pushkin (Moscow), Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after. P. Lumumba (Moscow).
Experts discussed current issues of the functioning of the Russian language in the context of the language situation that has developed over 30 years of independent development of the republics of Central Asia and Kyrgyzstan. Scientists have identified the problems of interaction and use of the Russian language in the educational, communication, media space and the media. Particular attention was paid to the methodology of teaching a non-native language.
The rector of KRSU, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic V. Nifadiev, Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Professor K. Imanaliev, famous public figure, Professor Ch. addressed the guests and participants of the event with welcoming words. Baekova, head of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Bishkek A. «The most important thing is when we hold such events," noted KRSU Rector V. Nifadiev, – focus on practical direction. It is important that schoolchildren fall in love with the Russian language, and that teachers can teach it professionally».
The thought was further continued by the Minister of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic K. Imanaliev: «The topic of bilingualism is relevant for Kyrgyzstan. We Kyrgyzstanis should be champions of bilingual education».
After this, an award ceremony took place for the winners of the dramatization competition «The Russian Soul in the Plays of A. Ostrovsky – from HIX in the XXI century».
A convincing example of the fact that «we need the Russian language» («Orus tili bizge kerek») was the presentation of an educational complex of the same name, which included a textbook by M. Tagaev and O. Simonova, collections of dictations and presentations of the 5th-8th and 9th -11th grades by B. Borchieva and G. Tagaeva.
«This complex, – shared by M. Tagaev, – proceeds from the methodological message that the Russian language is not a foreign language for Kyrgyzstan, it is a language code that helps us understand the world, receive education, information, i.e. accumulate human capital».
After the plenary session, where Professor V. Vorobyov (Moscow) and M. Tagaev (Bishkek) made a joint report on the topic «The place and role of the Russian language in the modern post-Soviet space: linguistic and cultural view» «Dualism of thinking Ch. Aitmatova» (Professor of the Kyrgyz-Turkish University «Manas» Z. Derbisheva) and other scientists, the work of sections – «Functioning and interaction of the state and official languages in the educational and communicative space of Kyrgyzstan» and «The place and role of the Russian language in the space of bilingual discourse» began.
Let us note that by the beginning of the conference by the Institute of Russian Language named after. A. Orusbaev published a collection that included 54 articles by scientists, representatives of educational and public organizations of the Russian Federation, the Kyrgyz Republic and other CIS countries.
