A department «Pushkin Institute» has opened at KRSU
November 25 at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin in Bishkek the grand opening of the department «Pushkin Institute» took place.
The opening ceremony of the department in Kyrgyzstan – is one of the first events opening preparations for the Year of the Russian Language in the CIS countries in 2023.
The department was opened by the State Institute of Russian Language named after. A.S. Pushkin in partnership with the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B. N. Yeltsin with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
The rector of KRSU, academician Vladimir Nifadiev, adviser to the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan Viktor Kharchenko, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, head of the delegation of the Pushkin Institute – Vice-Rector for Science Mikhail Osadchiy delivered welcoming speeches.
Mikhail Andreevich spoke about the development strategy of the department «Pushkin Institute» and held a round table «Preparations for the Year of the Russian Language as a Language of Interethnic Communication in the CIS Countries in 2023». The main goal of the round table is to discuss projects for inclusion in the preparation plan for the Year of the Russian Language and proposals for the formation of a working group of Kyrgyzstan to prepare and conduct planned events.
On the same day, an open lecture «Active processes in the Russian language» was held by a professor at the Department of General and Russian Linguistics of the State Institute of Russian Language named after. A.S. Pushkin by Maria Milovanova and the literary lounge, which was conducted by the chief researcher of the institute, Elmira Afanasyeva.
The organization of the department «Pushkin Institute» at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B. N. Yeltsin was coordinated by Professor, Director of the Institute of Russian Language KRSU Mamed Tagaev and Chief Expert of the Center for Language Policy and International Education of the State Institute of Russian Language named after A.S. Pushkina, professor Tatyana Nesterova.
