A Project Office for Hydropower is opening at KRSU with the participation of the state corporation «Rosatom»
As part of the cooperation agreement between KRSU and the state corporation «Rosatom», the key practical element will be the creation of a Hydropower Project Office based at the university. Its activities will focus on the development of project and pre-project documentation and the implementation of additive and digital solutions in the energy sector.
Commenting on the goals and capabilities of the Project Office, Dmitry Konstantinov, General Director of the representative office of the state corporation «Rosatom» in the Kyrgyz Republic, noted:
<TAG1> The project office will be of an applied nature and will become a platform for combining the technological competencies «of Rosatom„and the scientific potential of KRSU. This will allow university students to be involved in practical work on engineering and energy projects using additive technologies. In the future, we are talking about the production of hydropower equipment using digital metal 3D printing. Additive technologies can significantly reduce production time, cost and costs compared to traditional methods».
Rector of KRSU Sergei Volkov emphasized that the creation of such an office will make it possible to train engineering personnel focused on the real tasks of the industry. According to him, students will be given access to the practical application of modern technologies, which will speed up the transition from ideas and calculations to real production.
For KRSU, a key scientific, educational and personnel role is assigned within the framework of the implementation of the Project Office. The university becomes a platform where students have the opportunity to combine theoretical training with participation in real engineering projects. This format of work forms the basis for training specialists in demand in high-tech industries and the energy sector of the future.
