The next dean's meeting was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, chaired by Rector Sergei Volkov. Participants discussed accreditation activities, personnel policy issues, support for students and graduates, development of university infrastructure, as well as the objectives of the upcoming admissions campaign.Opening the meeting, Sergei Volkov thanked the team for the work done and noted the importance of further consolidating the efforts of all departments of the university.«Quite a lot of work has been done. I am confident that we will pass the upcoming presentation with dignity, but it is important that faculties, teachers and students are actively included in it», — the rector emphasized. One of the key topics was the preservation of the student population in budget places. According to the university, the deduction rate for admission targets in the Russian Federation averages 7.7%, which is below the established threshold of 10%. At the same time, faculties have been instructed to strengthen preventive and explanatory work with students and their parents.«It is important not just to record academic debts, but to work with students in a timely manner, help them overcome difficulties and maintain the opportunity to continue their studies on a budgetary basis», — noted Sergei Volkov. The meeting also presented the results of retaking the interdisciplinary final state certification (MIGA) for graduates applying for a diploma with honors. Of the 29 participants in the retake, 21 students received a grade «excellent» and retained the opportunity to apply for a honors diploma. According to preliminary estimates, KRSU may graduate more than 70 honors diploma holders this year.Special attention was paid to the issues of increasing salaries of teaching staff and educational and support staff. The rector said that the university is completing work on a new accrual system, which will increase payments taking into account teaching experience, qualification categories and the workload of employees. For a correct calculation, faculties are instructed to update information about the teaching experience, qualifications, level of education and part-time work of employees.Another solution was to increase employee participation in dean's meetings. In the future, all university employees with corporate accounts will be able to connect to them. This will increase the team’s awareness of the key decisions and strategic objectives of the university.During the discussion of support for graduates, Sergei Volkov took the initiative to develop an honorary diploma KRSU for students who completed their studies with «good» and «excellent», as well as recommendations for admission to the next level of education.«When a university recommends that a graduate continue his studies, this can be an important incentive. We need to support strong students and help them see the future educational trajectory», — the rector emphasized. The faculties were also instructed to intensify interaction with employers and work to support graduates. In particular, the university will continue to generate and send student resumes to partner companies interested in employing young professionals. The meeting participants paid significant attention to the development of the university’s infrastructure. The immediate plans include — repair of sanitary facilities in a number of buildings, renovation of classrooms, purchase of new furniture, renovation of gyms and further development of sports infrastructure.Issues of preparation for the 2026 admissions campaign were discussed separately. The university plans to conduct internal entrance tests for budget places in the Russian Federation at an earlier date, which will improve the quality of enrollment and expand opportunities for applicants.During the meeting, Sergei Volkov also supported the initiative to create a digital map of monuments of the Great Patriotic War on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. The project involves the digitization of monuments, the creation of their 3D models and the formation of a unified database of historical objects with the participation of students of various study programs training.«If there is a project that is important to work on, we are ready to get involved. Digitize monuments, create a map, collect their history —this is serious and necessary work that can be done together with students», — noted the rector. In addition, the participants discussed the development of the KRSU endowment fund. The university continues to work to attract voluntary donations from graduates, partners and patrons. One of the tasks for the near future is to further increase the volume of the fund and expand the participation of the university community in its development. As a result of the meeting, the heads of faculties and structural divisions were given instructions to prepare for accreditation procedures, develop educational programs, support students and graduates, improve personnel work and implement infrastructure projects.
