KRSU hosted an inter-university student conference «World Economic Recovery from the COVID-19 Pandemic. Challenges and trends»

On April 5, the Department of Foreign Languages KRSU held XIX annual interuniversity student scientific and practical conference «Global economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Challenges and trends», in which 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students of the Faculty of Economics of KRSU, students of the Academy of Tourism, as well as students of the International University of Central Asia took part.

Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics N. Borisenko and Head of the Department of Foreign Languages M. Yurchenko addressed the participants with opening remarks, wishing all the speakers success and victory.

Students from various study programs made presentations in which they spoke about the rehabilitation of the investment climate in Kyrgyzstan, as well as investments in Kyrgyzstan during the post-pandemic period, the impact of the digital economy in Central Asian countries, the recovery of the tourism sector in Turkey after COVID-19 and much more.

Participants spoke about the positive and negative consequences of the coronavirus pandemic on the situation in the world and in Kyrgyzstan. Students analyzed and tried to predict the further development of the economic sector.

All participants demonstrated a high level of training and good command of the English language.

Speakers' presentations were accompanied by discussions with the audience.

According to the results of the conference, third place was shared by students – Anara Ikramova and Leila Torogeldieva, second place went to Bolot kyzy Zhanara and Zhanayim Dayyrova, and the winners were Aziret Zhanybekov and Naima Elemanova (all – KRSU). In addition, the jury awarded a special prize to Kamilla Magametalieva (Academy of Tourism).

All speakers received certificates of participation, and the most successful of them became winners of memorable prizes.
