Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin (KRSU) became the center of scientific and educational discussion within the framework of the session «Humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan: directions and development prospects». As part of this event, meetings and discussions took place covering key aspects of Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation.
The session began with a meeting of acting, Rector of KRSU Sergei Yuryevich Volkov with Efim Iosifovich Pivovar, scientific director of the Russian State Humanitarian University (RGGU), Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of History, Professor. The main discussions were moderated by Ph.D. Leonid Ivanovich Sumarokov, director of the Center for Historical and Cultural Heritage KRSU, and other leading experts from Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
Among the presented reports, topics related to history, youth diplomacy and the role of humanitarian initiatives in strengthening Eurasian integration aroused particular interest. Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Efim Pivovar made a report on the topic «Humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan: current state and prospects», where he highlighted the current results and prospects for the development of interaction. The report was accompanied by a presentation of regional studies publications of the Institute of Eurasian and Interregional Studies of the Russian State University for the Humanities, reflecting the achievements of bilateral cooperation.
Director of the Center for Historical and Cultural Heritage KRSU Leonid Sumarokov spoke about N.M. Przhevalsky as the founder of scientific knowledge of Central Asia. Other reports presented by participants concerned issues of public diplomacy, scientific and youth cooperation, as well as the integration of humanitarian initiatives into the Eurasian space.
The topics of the session covered both scientific and educational areas, among which we can note the speeches of Associate Professor of the Russian State University for the Humanities Alexander Levchenkov on the prospects of Russian-Kyrgyz scientific cooperation, acting of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics of KRSU Ainura Kocherbaeva on the role of scientific and educational initiatives, as well as the speech of Stanislav Kulikov, Vice-Rector for Youth and Information Policy KRSU, dedicated to the student activist.
During the session, master classes were also held, a discussion of promising study programs development of the Center for Eurasian Studies and a section «Student Tribune», during which students of KRSU and other universities in Kyrgyzstan presented their ideas on issues of Eurasian integration and Russian-Kyrgyz relations.
The scientific and educational session ended with a lively discussion, where participants discussed important problems and challenges facing humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
