KRSU hosted online advanced training courses for Russian language teachers in national schools
From April 19 to April 30, 2021, at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. B.N. Yeltsin completed online advanced training courses for Russian language teachers in schools with Kyrgyz, Uzbek and Tajik languages of instruction. The event was organized by the Russian Language Institute at KRSU. Leading experts from Kyrgyzstan in the field of linguistics and literary criticism took part in the event as lecturers.
During two weeks of fruitful work, course participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with new methods of work in Russian language and literature lessons, improved their skills in drawing up plans and notes on literature, and deepened their knowledge of modern educational standards for teaching Russian as a non-native language. The invited lecturers highlighted a wide range of problems in teaching Russian as a non-native language and gave useful methodological recommendations to practicing teachers. Individual classes were held in an interactive form with cases and practical tasks, which allowed course participants to immediately consolidate their acquired knowledge in practice.
The event was opened by the director of the Russian Language Institute KRSU M.J. Tagaev lecture on the issues of teaching Russian as a non-native language in the current language situation in Kyrgyzstan.
About the creativity and meaning of the name A.S. Pushkin, during literature lessons, was told to the course participants by the editor-in-chief of the magazine «Russian language and literature in Kyrgyzstan» G.U. Sooronkulov.
The head of the laboratory for assessing the quality of education and monitoring of the Center for Pedagogical Science and Vocational Education of the Kyrgyz Academy of Education dedicated her lecture to the modern requirements of educational standards for teaching Russian as a non-native language in schools in Kyrgyzstan, as well as to the issues of preparation for participation in the International Program for the Assessment of Educational Achievements of Students (PISA) G.S. Tagaeva.
A lecture on Russian speech etiquette in the context of teaching the Russian language was given by the head of the scientific and innovation department of the Institute of Russian Language KRSU V.K. Janzen.
Associate Professor of the Department of Methods of Teaching Russian Language and Literature of Osh State University N.A. shared the results of her many years of experience in the field of teaching methods of Russian literature. She gave practical recommendations for the correct development of a outline for literature, and also spoke about individual methods for increasing students’ motivation to read and comprehend a literary text.
Lectures by the author of a Russian language textbook for a Kyrgyz school in the 3rd grade, coach of the RIPKiPPR at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic V.A. were held in an interesting interactive form with various creative tasks. Bulatova, who introduced practicing teachers to new methods for developing reading literacy and language competence among students.
About 50 teachers of secondary schools from all regions of Kyrgyzstan took part in the advanced training courses, expressing gratitude to the organizers for providing an educational platform for exchanging experience with leading Russian scholars and literary scholars of Kyrgyzstan. At the end of the educational seminars, all students were sent certificates of completion of advanced training courses based on KRSU in the amount of 20 hours.
