A traditional dean's meeting was held at KRSU

Today, a traditional dean's meeting was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University with the participation of vice-rectors, deans, heads of departments and heads of departments.

Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Activities Evgeny Shekunov announced the results of the admissions campaign and compared the indicators of recent years. In 2024, 2,833 applicants were admitted to the university, in 2025 — 2,417. 493 students are enrolled in budget places in the Russian Federation (including 3 graduate students whose admission is still ongoing), in grant places in the Kyrgyz Republic — 114, on a contract basis — 1,810 students. In 2024, the figures were 337, 193 and 2,303, respectively.

Evgeny Shekunov also outlined the prospects for the upcoming admissions campaign, emphasizing that when organizing it, it is important to update educational programs taking into account modern technologies and new challenges.

During the meeting, deans were instructed to inform freshmen of the need to provide original documents, as well as sign training agreements and pay for contracts by September 10. Separately, the issue of eliminating academic debts by students was raised — the deadline was set until October 16.

In addition, participants discussed the work of the university trade union, its role in supporting students and staff, as well as plans for the development of social initiatives.
