KRSU hosted a visiting dean's meeting on the future campus

The leadership of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, deans of faculties, heads of structural divisions and university staff took part in a visiting dean's meeting, which took place on the territory of the future KRSU campus near the village of Kashka-Suu.Participants inspected a land plot of almost 30 hectares, which had recently been transferred to the university for the construction of a new campus. In the future, a modern campus will appear here, designed for 15 thousand students.During the meeting, the rector of KRSU Sergei Volkov presented the concept for the development of the territory and spoke about the key facilities of the future campus. It is planned to build educational buildings, dormitories, sports infrastructure, scientific and educational spaces, public areas and recreation areas.Particular attention was paid to creating a comfortable environment for students, teachers and residents of nearby settlements. As part of the project, it is planned to preserve existing green spaces as much as possible, improve the territory, create a park and walking areas.«Today we are in an area where there is not yet a single building, but this is where the university of the future will be built. Our task is to create not just a training campus, but a full-fledged student town, where all conditions for learning, scientific activity, sports, creativity and a comfortable life will be created», — noted Sergei Volkov.Separately, the participants discussed the development of engineering and transport infrastructure, energy supply issues, as well as prospects for further expansion of the campus and the construction of new facilities.The meeting was held in a mixed format and brought together university staff who participated both in person on the territory of the future campus and remotely.As a result of the meeting, the participants agreed to continue working on the formation of the concept of the future campus, which will become one of the largest educational projects in Kyrgyzstan.
