An international conference «Maritime Power of the State» was held at KRSU
On May 20, an international conference «Maritime Power of the State» was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, dedicated to issues of naval history, preservation of historical memory and the role of the fleet in strengthening statehood.The event brought together representatives of veteran, scientific and public organizations of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, researchers, writers, historians, teachers and students. The conference was attended by representatives of the Primorsky Territory, Novosibirsk and other regions of the Russian Federation, many of whom devoted their professional activities to studying the history of the Navy, patriotic education of youth and preserving the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland.Advisor to the rector of KRSU Nikolai Kudryavtsev delivered a welcoming speech to the participants on behalf of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. He noted the importance of holding such events to strengthen humanitarian ties between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, preserve historical truth and pass on knowledge about the exploits of their ancestors to the younger generation.The conference included presentations of books «Book of Memory of the 51st Scuba Training Unit of the Red Banner Pacific Fleet» and «The Motherland is in Danger», a discussion of the activities of historical and educational projects dedicated to preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War, as well as speeches dedicated to outstanding researchers Asia, the history of the Russian Navy and the contribution of the peoples of Kyrgyzstan to the fight against fascism.Presentations were made by the Chairman of the Primorsky regional branch of the Russian Union of Writers, retired Colonel Alexander Pasevin, Chairman of the Maritime Assembly of the city of Novosibirsk, retired Captain 1st Rank Oleg Adamov, employee of the historical park «Russia — my history» Gennady Kovtanyuk, writer and publisher Gennady Isikov, teacher of the Russian Navy training center Oleg Shcherbakov and other members of the delegation.Particular attention was paid to the issues of preserving historical memory, patriotic education of youth and popularization of naval heritage. The participants emphasized the importance of international humanitarian cooperation and joint work to preserve the historical truth about the events of the Great Patriotic War.The conference ended with a ceremony of presenting medals to veterans and memorable gifts in honor of the anniversaries of the Pacific Fleet and submarine forces of the Russian Navy.The conference was another step in the development of scientific, cultural and educational cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, as well as an important platform for discussing issues of historical memory, patriotic education and the preservation of common historical heritage.
