The first ceremonial presentation of PhD diplomas took place at KRSU

A solemn ceremony of presenting Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) diplomas took place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. The event became a landmark for the university — PhD diplomas were awarded for the first time in the history of KRSU.The first graduates of PhD programs were Alina Keldibekova and Dariga Toluspaeva (Republic of Kazakhstan), who completed their studies in the field of «Translation and Translation Studies».The ceremony was attended by the rector of KRSU Sergey Volkov, the head of the PhD «Theory and Practice of Translation» program Professor Amangeldy Bekbalaev, the head of the Center for Basic Doctoral Studies PhD/in the field Professor Marat Kudaikulov, scientific supervisors of graduates, teachers and university staff.Opening the event, Rector of KRSU Sergei Volkov emphasized the special significance of the event for the university.«Today we do not just award PhD diplomas to graduates of the “Translation and Translation Studies” field. Thanks to my supervisor, I learned to write scientific articles, publish in highly rated journals and gained serious research skills. "I am sincerely grateful to KRSU and my mentors for this experience», — the graduate shared.The head of the PhD «Theory and Practice of Translation» program, Professor Amangeldy Bekbalaev, noted that the creation and development of the system for training doctors of philosophy was the result of many years of work by a large team of like-minded people.«We have worked consistently for many years to develop PhD programs and create the necessary conditions for training new generation researchers.
