A working meeting was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) on issues of strategic development of the university. The event was attended by Sergey Volkov, acting rector of KRSU, and Meder Omurbekov, chief expert of the sectoral policy department of the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
At the meeting, strategic plans for the development of the university were discussed in all areas, covering the educational, scientific and infrastructure spheres, as well as social support for students and staff. Particular attention was paid to the construction of a new university campus. As part of supporting the KRSU initiative, the Bishkek City Hall will be tasked with selecting a suitable site for its construction, which will significantly improve the infrastructure and educational conditions for students.
Meder Omurbekov emphasized the government’s readiness to assist in resolving important issues and support the university in implementing its tasks. In addition to infrastructure development, the government plans to strengthen security measures on the university grounds by providing 24-hour security for facilities. The Kyrgyz side expressed confidence in the new leadership of KRSU, noting the importance of the university in the country’s educational system and its role in training high-level specialists.
