The Forum for Medical Science and Healthcare «Multidisciplinary Approaches: From Science to Practice» has started at KRSU

The Forum of Medical Science and Healthcare «Multidisciplinary approaches: from science to practice», held as part of the XXIV Days of Medical Science KRSU, started at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. Over the course of two days, May 28 and 29, the university site will unite scientists, practicing doctors, representatives of the healthcare system, residents, graduate students and medical students of Kyrgyzstan.The grand opening of the forum took place in the Great Assembly Hall of KRSU. The participants were welcomed by representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and the university management.Vice-Rector for Educational Activities of KRSU Marina Yurchenko noted that for more than twenty years the conference has become one of the key scientific and educational platforms of the country’s medical community.«Today the forum reflects the modern vector of development of the Faculty of Medicine KRSU — integration of science, medical education and practical healthcare. This year, special attention is paid to primary care practitioners, and for the first time the forum itself is being held in the format of a large multidisciplinary platform», — emphasized Marina Yurchenko.She also noted that KRSU is actively developing international, scientific and educational cooperation. The university is implementing joint projects with leading medical centers and universities in Russia, and is also developing a new direction for training specialists in the field of nuclear medicine together with Tomsk Polytechnic University with the support of the State Corporation «Rosatom».The head of the department for organizing medical care and drug policy of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Nurgul Ibraeva, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. She emphasized the importance of developing primary health care and training medical personnel for the regions of the country.«The healthcare system today is particularly in need of family doctors, cardiologists, oncologists, pediatricians and other specialists. It is very important that KRSU builds personnel training in close connection with the current tasks of the country’s healthcare system», — noted Nurgul Ibraeva.During the plenary session, participants will discuss the development of primary health care, the development strategy of the Faculty of Medicine KRSU until 2030, modern approaches to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, the development of oncology services, maternal and child health care, as well as issues of expanding the functions of nurses at the PHC level.A special place in the forum program will be occupied by a session «CardioClub of Kyrgyzstan: arterial hypertension in all clinical scenarios», dedicated to World Hypertension Day. Over the course of two days, sectional sessions will also be held on oncology, infectious diseases, pediatrics, internal medicine, psychoneurology and other areas.A separate block of the program will be a scientific journal club dedicated to discussing modern international research in the field of cardiology.The forum is held in a mixed format with the ability to connect participants from various regions of Kyrgyzstan online. More than 100 specialists in the field of healthcare and medical science are expected to participate.
