The next traditional dean's meeting was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, chaired by Vice-Rector for Educational Activities Marina Yurchenko. In a working format, heads of faculties and specialized departments discussed key issues on the educational, organizational and management agenda of the university.
Particular attention was paid to the state and development of educational programs. Today, KRSU implements 108 educational programs in 45 areas of training, including bachelor's, master's, specialty and architecture programs. Over the past year, 80 programs have been updated, which reflects the systematic work of the university to update the content of training, bring programs into line with modern requirements and expectations of applicants and employers. The closure of two programs that have lost their relevance was also noted, with an emphasis on the importance of strategic selection and responsibility in the formation of the educational portfolio for the future of 2026.
During the meeting, the obligations of faculties to launch and maintain new programs were discussed in detail. The need for strict compliance with previously stated plans, recording the responsibility of each department and systemic control of execution was emphasized. The importance of a clear and understandable presentation of educational programs — both for internal use and for working with applicants was discussed separately.
A significant block of discussion was devoted to partnership educational programs and interaction with Russian and international universities, as well as specialized organizations and enterprises of the city. It was noted that partnership remains one of the key tools for improving the quality of education, developing practice-oriented training and updating the material and technical base of the university, including the creation of specialized computer classes and training laboratories together with corporate partners.
Issues of document flow and performance discipline are considered separately. During the reporting period, the university received more than 120 documents, and the level of their execution was described as stable and high. The importance of regular reporting, timely response to requests and strict adherence to established deadlines was emphasized.
The meeting also discussed the results of training and their correct formalization in educational programs, issues of accreditation, transition to the updated university website, interaction with curators and work with students, including issues of academic and financial debt, restoration and transfer of students.
Summing up, the participants noted that such meetings remain an important platform for open professional dialogue, coordination of positions and development of common approaches to solving problems. The joint, coordinated work of faculties and management units is considered as a key condition for the sustainable development of KRSU and the successful implementation of plans for the coming years.
