Pediatric virtuosos
May 15-19 at the Institute of Electronic Medical Education of the First Moscow State Medical University named after. AND. Sechenov Ministry of Health of Russia (Sechenov University) held the IV All-Russian Pediatric Forum of Students and Young Scientists with international participation «Pediatrics Virtuoso».
Conferences, Olympiads, master classes, webinars are the platforms where future doctors can study, test new formats of education, and also share their experience with young colleagues not only within their university, but also with colleagues from other universities, cities and countries.
This project is a unique combination of platforms for exchanging scientific experience, demonstrating practical abilities, expanding professional horizons and forming a modern vector for the development of future specialists. The forum included:
1. IV scientific and practical conference of students and young scientists with international participation.
2. II All-Russian Pediatric Interdisciplinary Olympiad «Kaleidoscope of Knowledge» with international participation for 1st-2nd year students.
3. I All-Russian Pediatric Interdisciplinary Olympiad «Clinical debut» with international participation for 3-4 year students.
4. IV All-Russian Olympiad «Pediatrics Virtuoso» for 5th-6th year students.
5. Multi-level educational workspace.
Students, residents, graduate students and young scientists under the age of 35 inclusive were allowed to participate in the forum. Its languages were Russian and English. The format was mixed.

Abstracts of scientific works and abstracts describing clinical cases were accepted for consideration.
«Kaleidoscope of Knowledge» – interdisciplinary Olympiad for 1st-2nd year students of medical universities in fundamental disciplines (normal anatomy, normal physiology, biological chemistry and histology, cytology and embryology) and the history of medicine.
First Pediatric Interdisciplinary Student Olympiad «Clinical Debut» with international participation «Clinical Debut» – Interdisciplinary Olympiad for 3rd-4th year students of medical universities in pathological anatomy, pathological physiology, propaedeutics of childhood diseases and the history of medicine.
IV All-Russian Olympiad «Pediatrics Virtuoso» with international participation, an interdisciplinary Olympiad for 5-6 year students of medical universities in the main areas of pediatrics, pediatric surgery, and medical issues (art in medicine, history of medicine, etc.).
KRSU delegated students representing scientific circles of the departments of pediatric surgery, pediatrics and the departments of physics, medical informatics and biology to the above scientific events. And the first to please us was a student of the specialty «Pediatrics» Almaz kyzy Kamilla from the department of the FMIB, who received a 3rd degree diploma.
As for «Pediatrics Virtuoso» itself, last year our representatives took part in this competition for the first time and took 4th place, earning a small gold medal.
This time, many more applicants took part in this competition – 37 teams from universities in Russia and the CIS countries. Our team «Union of Pediatricians KRSU» was represented by sixth-year pediatricians: A. Atamashkin, D. Bush, K. Bukreeva, N. Reznikov and Zh. Shapykov, head – senior lecturer of the Department of Pediatrics S. Zeyvald
The Olympics took place over two days, the first of which included theoretical tests: «Medical quest», «All or nothing», «What? Where? When?»; the second day consisted of practical competitions «Pediatrics. Practical skills», «Five questions».
According to the results of the Olympiad, the KRSU team took 17th place, getting into the «golden mean» and losing only to representatives of central universities of the Russian Federation. She was awarded a certificate «MetGALA», each of her team members earned a certificate, and the leader – a letter of gratitude!
