Vladimir Ploskikh – 85!

Today, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Honored Scientist of Kyrgyzstan, winner of a number of state and international awards, professor, adviser to the rector of KRSU, historian, archaeologist, famous teacher Vladimir Mikhailovich Ploskikh turned 85 years old.

Vladimir Mikhailovich made a huge contribution to the development of historical science in Kyrgyzstan; under his leadership, important underwater archaeological research was successfully carried out Issyk-Kul. In his scientific activities, Academician V. Ploskikh always paid a lot of attention to Kyrgyz-Russian relations, acting as a kind of «bridge» between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
