XI Scientific Snesarev Readings

XI Scientific Snesarev readings dedicated to the 185th anniversary of Nikolai Mikhailovich Przhevalsky took place today.

This important event marked several memorable dates associated with the life and achievements of the great Russian traveler:

1. 155 years since the creation of the city of Karakol, the place where Przewalski died.

2. 180 years since the birth of Alexander Vasilyevich Kaulbars, the man who founded Karakol.

3. 135 years since the city was named after Przhevalsky.

4. 130 years of the opening of the monument to N.M. on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. Przhevalsky.

Advisor to the rector of KRSU on issues of historical and cultural heritage Leonid Sumarokov spoke about this at scientific readings.

Academic Snesarev readings are held annually and are dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Russian scientist, military philosopher, geographer and orientalist Andrei Snesarev (1865-1937) and are aimed at the development of domestic geopolitical science. Reports and speeches at the event concern a wide range of issues: from geopolitical paradigms and contours of war to forecasting the dynamics of conflicts and proposing tools for protecting Russia’s national interests.
