Language will bring you good!
On June 9, the defense of theses of graduates of the direction «Translation and Translation Studies» (specialization «Linguistic support of interstate relations») with the Chinese language took place (Department of World Languages KRSU).
Diploma protection – a crucial step before graduation. This is perhaps the most exciting and responsible moment of all my time at the university. A commission consisting of teachers from the Department of World Languages evaluated 9 theses.
Today, choosing a current topic in the field «Translation and Translation Studies» is not easy. Foreign languages have undergone great changes – many trends and problems have appeared that require attention and solutions. The most striking changes have occurred in such language segments as lexicology, stylistics, translation techniques, etc. It is these important linguistic aspects that our specialists have touched upon in their research.
Kanykey Kyrbashova, graduate:
– University time is inextricably linked with warm and reverent memories – here I met interesting people and fell in love with the Chinese language.
During my studies, I was lucky enough to visit Beijing twice. The first time it was a two-week internship, the second – six months. While in China, I received a lot of impressions and positive emotions, and fell in love with Chinese culture. I express my sincere gratitude to my first oral teacher Yang Laoshi for this opportunity.
Our department traditionally holds many events and competitions, and I have always enjoyed participating in them and performing Chinese and Kyrgyz dances.
Five years at the university flew by unnoticed, but very fruitfully. Of course, I plan to connect my acquired profession with the Middle Kingdom!
Sayat Pergulieva, graduate:
– Student years proved eventful. Especially the first two courses when we were doing offline. At the very beginning of my studies, hieroglyphs were difficult for me, I couldn’t remember them, I didn’t really know how to pronounce this or that syllable correctly – this motivated me to start working hard on my mistakes. How I remember now the first joyful emotions when at the end of the first semester I passed the first level of HSK and received a high score!
I remember our volunteer teacher from China, Yang Laoshi. The couples with her were interesting and educational. We learned to make Chinese dumplings and sometimes carved hieroglyphs.
I attended Chinese sections dedicated to the tea ceremony and a «qipao» (classic Chinese dress) modeling club. She participated in Chinese model competitions several times.
Now I plan to work in my specialty, I dream of visiting China and learning about its ancient culture.
I express my deep gratitude to teachers Lira Sulaimanova, Gulzat and Bayar Laoshi, Neli Ponomareva, who helped, guided and gave me valuable advice throughout my studies.
