For tolerance and peace
On February 13, 2020, KRSU was visited by a delegation from the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, led by its president Ahmed Al-Jarwan.
The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace was established in Malta on November 2, 2017. The purpose of creating the Council – promoting a culture of peace and tolerance, combating discrimination, religious intolerance, nationalism, improving legal norms in order to strengthen the principles of tolerance for achieving peace. The Council cooperates closely with the United Nations and other international organizations in this sphere.
The parties discussed issues of mutual cooperation, and also exchanged views on work to open a new direction of master's programs on the basis of KRSU. Vladimir Nifadiev noted that KRSU is ready to cooperate with the Council and sign a Memorandum of Understanding. In turn, Ahmed Al-Jarwan invited the rector of KRSU to the next meeting of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace.
