Living water of poetry

The Moscow publishing house «Russian Gulliver» published a book of selected poems by the People's Poet of the Kyrgyz Republic, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Head of the Department of Translation and Translation Studies of the Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences KRSU Vyacheslav Shapovalov «Nameless name».

The chosen lyrics of one of the significant Russian poets – another confession of a representative of another lost generation: this is a person «between two strangers», for whom in the present the appearance of the past has been lost and the appearance of the future has been distorted. Russia and Asia – geographical symbols of the loss of the homeland, and the feeling of a dying double world pushes the author, as the writer Chingiz Aitmatov and the poet Semyon Lipkin said, to «a sacrificial attempt to preserve a common cultural space».

How strange! – we hope, we wait,

and we hear eternal truths

at the same time, we live so little

at the same time, we breathe so tightly...

All around – whatever the temple, then the wall,

nothingness seeks greatness

and life is infinitely long –

short to the point of indecency.
