«Immortal Regiment» of Kyrgyzstan: memory of how together we defeated a fierce enemy

This year the procession «of the Immortal Regiment» in Kyrgyzstan on May 9 will not take place: it cancelled <TAG1>for security reasons«. Nevertheless, the Kyrgyz people are preparing to celebrate Victory Day, and «the Immortal Regiment» lives in their souls.

This was discussed at the exhibition «They covered life with themselves», organized by the National Historical Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University and the Russian Cultural Center «Harmony». The organizers based the exhibition on materials and the results of a study of unknown pages of the feat of Kyrgyz border guards in the battle against fascism, conducted by historian Leonid Sumarokov. The exhibition is dedicated to the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic. Descendants of front-line border guards took part in uncovering unknown pages of the border feat. Next
