We present to your attention an article by Lyudmila Khasanova, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Management of the KRSU, on the situation related to the COVID-19 outbreak in Kyrgyzstan, published on the website of the Central Asian Analytical Network.
As early as the first half of June, Kyrgyzstan was the most prosperous country in Central Asia in terms of COVID-19 incidence, showing the lowest daily reported cases in the region.
Starting in mid-June, the situation began to change. The number of new cases per day exceeded 500, and as a result, Kyrgyzstan consistently ranks second in the region after Kazakhstan in terms of the total number of confirmed cases per 100 thousand.
