BISHKEK, October 12 Sputnik. Russia and Kyrgyzstan signed an agreement on the terms of activity of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B. Yeltsin, reports the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

 

The signing ceremony of the agreement took place as part of a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in Bishkek.

 

The document was signed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov from the Russian government, and from Kyrgyzstan minister of Education and Science Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva.

 

The Russian ministry explained that the intergovernmental agreement concluded in 1993 required updating. The text of the new document describes in detail how the university management system is formed, which includes the governing council and the rector.

 

The Governing Council is formed from representatives of the ministries of the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic, six people from each side. In particular, he approves the budget and approves the rector’s reports.
