Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of International Journalism of the KRSU, political scientist Vitaly Pankov spoke about the dynamics of development of integration processes in the Eurasian Economic Union.

In a conversation on Sputnik Kyrgyzstan radio, he emphasized that the integration of the EAEU countries will continue in any case, since this is a normal historical pattern.

"The question is in what forms, with what potential world leaders and in what time frame. To this we must also add the factor of mass consciousness. The authority of certain leaders changes dramatically depending on the current news situation. If you look at the history of the EAEU, the first steps that were aimed at creating the Eurasian space were taken back in 1993–1994. The first packages of documents were considered in 1995–1996, and in 1999 states began to form a common political and economic community. If you look at the dynamics of activity in accepting new members of the EAEU, you can observe both surges and slowdowns. This has always been associated with foreign policy circumstances, which raised or, conversely, lowered the authority of specific locomotives of a given political space", — explained Pankov.

According to him, the EAEU countries are getting closer not only thanks to the creation of a common economic space, but also due to the fact that they have learned to interact in a new format.
