Who is the history of the diplomatic service of the Kyrgyz SSR behind, who was the country's first professional diplomat, what famous people came to Soviet Kyrgyzstan? Now students won't have to delve into archives to find answers to these questions.
BISHKEK, October 24 — Sputnik. A textbook was published about the main names of diplomacy of Soviet Kyrgyzstan, the presentation of which took place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU).
The book will tell the student about the personalities who represented the interests of the Kyrgyz SSR at the international level in the Soviet era, said the author of the manual "History of Soviet diplomacy of Kyrgyzstan (1921-1991)" — professor, doctor of pedagogical sciences, public figure Ishenkul Boljurova.
"Before the study began, we found that it was almost impossible to find material about Kyrgyz Soviet diplomats. At that time, people read about workers in agriculture, industrialists, writers, but no one knew about the work of foreign ministers. It was a closed profession, whose representatives also faithfully and honestly served their homeland," the professor noted.
She added that it was necessary to collect information bit by bit, examine state archives, presidential archives and political documentation.
The co-author was Boljurova’s daughter — Zhanyl Bokonbaeva.
The uniqueness of the information was emphasized by the Russian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Andrei Krutko.
"A huge amount of work has been done, with soul and heart invested in it. The findings are unique and will be of interest to our researchers. I will send copies to MGIMO, the Russian Diplomatic Academy and the Russian Foreign Ministry," he said.
Krutko added that the work of the authors will more than pay off with the gratitude of teachers and students.
The importance of the manual for student diplomats was noted by Academician and Rector of KRSU Vladimir Nifadiev.

"If last year we published a book about Soviet diplomacy in Kyrgyzstan, now students have the opportunity to study the history of the diplomatic service in a special manual. Moreover, in Kyrgyzstan there are many universities that train international relations. Future diplomats and employees of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry should know who was at the origins of domestic diplomacy," he is sure.
The guests of the presentation were famous veterans of the diplomatic service of Kyrgyzstan, whose names and activities formed the basis of the textbook. Also present at the event were representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, university employees and famous diplomats.
