The First Slavic University in Bishkek was conceived as one of the centers of the Russian language in Central Asia, as well as a conductor of educational cooperation in the CIS countries. However, the activities of the university are not limited only to the humanitarian direction. Multidisciplinary specialization allows the university to create and implement developments in various fields.
In 1993, he was the authorities of Russia and Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek open the first Slavic University in the CIS. Like other similar institutions, it includes not only all stages of higher education (bachelor's, master's, specialty, postgraduate), but also provides opportunities for secondary vocational and additional education. In the 1990s The university became a pioneer in preserving and strengthening the position of the Russian educational system and the Russian language in Central Asia, and also served as an example for the creation of Slavic universities in Tajikistan, Armenia and Belarus.
