Dyatlenko: Central Asian countries need to develop economic cooperation

Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of History of KRSU Pavel Dyatlenko told how he can «work» integration in Central Asia.

 

At a round table organized at the discussion club «Pikir», he noted that the agreement on good neighborliness and cooperation signed by the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in Cholpon-Ata has an interesting but framework content.

 

«For the real development of integration of Central Asian countries, the development of economic cooperation is necessary. This is the expansion of mutual trade, cheaper prices, acceleration of the transit of people and goods, development of the financial sector within the region, simplification of migration, development of infrastructure, cross-border projects and border cooperation. All states in the region are interested in this», dyatlenko emphasized.

 

He added that the second factor that could contribute to the rapprochement of the Central Asian countries is the restoration of humanitarian ties.
