Another university in Kyrgyzstan received a special status
Bilim AKIpress - President Sadyr Japarov amended the decree «On measures to increase the potential and competitiveness of educational organizations of higher professional education of the Kyrgyz Republic» dated July 18, 2022 №243.
In accordance with the changes, the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin received a special status «State educational institution of higher professional education».
«The special status means that the university can now manage its own property, which will allow it to attract Russian funds for the development of the university’s infrastructure and renovation of buildings. In addition, KRSU has the opportunity to generate financial resources not only through contracts, but also through scientific activities. This, in turn, will give a serious impetus to the development of the scientific sphere at the university», said KRSU Rector Denis Fomin-Nilov.
